What name tags should you choose?
Combination set: iron-on and sticker name tags
Most of our customers go for the combination set of 75 iron-on name tags and 75 stickers, for £9.95. Read more about our
combination set.
Iron-on name tags
Iron-on name tags are good for ironing onto clothing. They are quicker to apply than sew-ons, but need to be of high quality to stay on the garment. My Nametags iron-on labels are the only one that carries a ten-year guarantee. Read more about
iron-ons.
Sticker name labels
The sticker name tags stick easily to lunchboxes, bottles, books, DVDs etc. and are dishwasher and steriliser proof at the highest temperature setting. There are many companies offering stickers, but not all are high enough quality to survive washing for years. My Nametags sticker labels are guaranteed not to fall off in the dishwasher for ten years. Read more about
sticky labels.
Sew-on name tapes
In the past, the only durable name tapes were sew-ons. They take long to sew on (particularly if you have to put name tapes into all clothes), but will stay on the clothes.
Shoe labels
A shoe label is just another word for a sticker label, sometimes with a laminate on top. If you put the name tag in the heel of the shoe, where there is most friction, you will need a laminate to protect the print, whereas if you put the label on the side or on the tongue of the shoe, you can use normal stickers. shoe labels here.
Customised labels
We also offer fully customised labels. These are naturally more expensive, but can be done in any colour and any shape you want. We can customise both iron-on and sticker labels. Read more about
customised labels.
Allergy labels
If your child is allergic or has food intolerances, you may want to put this on the nametags. We have space to put allergies under the name, to ensure that people in school or nursery remembers what to avoid (particularly if there are short-term staff replacements). Read more about
allergy labels.
